Know below information before applying for a Student Visa in Canada

Study Visa (Temporary Resident Visa for Students) and Study Permits (given after you land on Canada) are not the same. You can apply Study Visa and Study Permit online or by paper (Online are easier, faster, and more convent). Even if you submit an application online, you need to send a medical report and passport (In the last stage of application). For this, you need an authorized representative. After submitting an online application form, the visa office will ask you for medical. You can find authorized physicians (doctors) in your area. Website: cic.gc.ca. After medical, if they ask your passport to stamp a visa, you have to send your passport through VAC (visa application center). Website: cic.gc.ca.

Applying for a Student Visa

If you fulfill the following criteria, you can apply for a Canada Study visa. All the steps to obtaining your student visa:

·         Go to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website before you arrive in Canada.

·         Submit your visa application documents by online

·         Provide your acceptance letter from University recognized by the Canadian Government

·         Deliver proof of Tuition Fees and Living Expenses to support your studies in Canada

·         Show Police Clearance Certificate confirming you have no criminal record

·         Submit Medical Examinations that state you are in good health

·         Passport (required)

·         Letter of Acceptance (required) - from university or educational institute

Pay Tuition Fee

To pay your tuition fees, you need to open a Student Bank Account in City Bank or Premier Bank or other international Banks. Canadian Authorities will allow you to pay your Tuition Fees online. Deposit your all tuition fees in the bank. Bank transfer your tuition fees to your institution.

Language Requirements

You must need to submit proof of English Language Proficiency.

Biometrics Appointment and Interview

1.       You need to pay 85 CAD for collecting your Biometrics. After paying biometrics fee, you can apply - At a Visa Application Centre (VAC) or Online or By Mail.

2.       You will get an Instruction Letter

3.       Go to Biometrics Collection Service Centre & Make an appointment to give your biometrics

Receive the Canadian Study Permit

You need below documents for applying for a Study Permit:

1.       Original or Electronic copy of Acceptance Letter with your Permit Application

2.       A Valid Passport or Travel Document and Two recent passport size photos for proofing your identity

3.       You can prove your financial fund - By a Canadian Bank Account, Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC), Education Loan from Bank, Bank Statements for the last 4 months, Paid Tuition Fees & Housing Fees, A letter from the person who funded Educational Program

4.       Explanation Letter

5.       Certificat d’acceptation du Québec (CAQ)

6.       Custodianship Declaration with your Application

7.       Check the Visa Office Instructions & submit Other Documents
